In 2005, Project Economics AS was established as an independent company offering
consulting, training courses, and research services concerning software project
management and related areas. The methodology used by the company was, to a
large extent, developed in the SE department at Simula. The company is led by Dr.
Kjetil Moløkken-Østvold, who studied for his doctoral degree in this department.
Simula sold its shares in 2008.
