PhD and PostDoc positions in Model Driven Software Engineering
We are currently seeking candidates for a number of available Ph.D. and PostDoc positions in the context of several projects in the area of model-driven software engineering. The positions will all be in the Software Engineering department at Simula Research Laboratory located in Oslo, Norway. Research positions in Model Driven Software Engineering
These positions are part of a new, large research project with Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a large company based in Norway certifying (safety critical) systems in the energy and maritime sectors.
This project encompasses many aspects, all in the context of Model-Driven software engineering, including:
- safety analysis and testing based on models
- system integration and integration testing
- collaborative work support
- qualification of COTS software
- model change management
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates fulfilling the following requirements:
- Candidates should have a strong background in software engineering, preferably with an emphasis on Model-Driven Engineering.
- A university degree in computer science/engineering, informatics, or related fields.
- For PostDoc positions the following additional requirements apply:
- A Ph.D. in one of the areas mentioned above, or have submitted a Ph.D. thesis for defense
- Relevant experience in model-driven engineering research and desire to continue research in this field.
- A strong record of publications in international conferences and journals.
- Industrial experience (both employment and collaboration) will be considered an advantage.
All positions require excellent English writing skills and high marks from the BSc and MSc degree. - Official grade sheets for all courses taken at the university level. In an integrated grade sheet, indicate the grades that were included in the bachelor and master educations, respectively.
- For applicants with university education outside Norway:
please include an official description of the grading system, including a mapping of grades either to the European credit system according to the Bologna agreement, or an official translation of the grading scale to a scale based on the percentage of successful participants.
- Applicants to a PostDoc position should also include 3 of their peer-reviewed publications and a statement concerning their own research plans.
