Biography

After receiving his MSc in Engineering Physics with focus on applied mathematics from Lund University, Sweden, Aron joined Simula in September 2009. He is currently enrolled as a PhD student in the Simula School of Research and Innovation. Aron has also studied mathematics and numerical analysis at University of California Berkeley.

Research Interests

Aron is studying flows in complex geometries, in particular the human respiratory tract. Right now, he is investigating the possibilities of combining the adaptive finite element method with component mode synthesis in order to reduce the size of the problem.

Personal Trivia

Aron is an addicted windsurfer that loves splashing around on the water as long as there is no ice. He is also an enthusiastic musician, playing, above all, the trumpet and the guitar in a wide variety of genres. During the winter, you shouldn't be too surprised to meet Aron in the ski-slope.
