I am a PhD fellow working with the Centre for Biomedical Computing and the Cardiac Modelling group. My thesis project involves applying adjoint techniques to heart models using the library dolfin-adjoint. My academic background is in mathematics, which I studied at Trent University in Canada as a bachelor student, and at the University of Oslo as a master student. My master thesis involved building a fully coupled fluid-structure interaction solver in FEniCS. I also have worked as a software engineer in the industry for two years at IDS Scheer AG in Freiburg Germany, and for half a year at Statkraft AS in Oslo.  In my spare time I like to be with my family, that is my daughter Lyra and partner Lena, and also train Capoeira.
