Evaluate the Lattice Boltzmann method within the lumped particle framework

Goal

A lumped particle modeling framework has recently been developed, where suspended particles within a fluid are viewed as lumps propagating in space. The Lattice Boltzmann method is in contrast a mesocopic method used to model fluid flow. The aim of this project is to evaluate the Lattice Boltzmann method within the lumped particle model, and investigate different ways to combine the two approaches.

The Lattice Boltzmann method, lumped particle modeling, computer simulation techniques.

 

Requirements

Knowledge of python/c++ .
Basic knowledge of physics and mathematics.
