Dr. Rikkert Keldermann will give a presentation entitled
"Mechano-Electrical Feedback: Effects of Deformation of Wave Propagation in
the Human Heart" in Bakromet.
Rikkert is a former colleague of Kirsten ten Tusscher who
just finished his PhD with Dr. Alexander Panfilov at Utrecht University. He
worked extensively on cardiac electrophysiology, collaborating with Prof.
Peter Taggart from London University Hospital on incorporating data of
in-vivo human measurements in the Utrecht whole heart model. In addition he
worked with both Alexander Panfilov and Martin Nash from Auckland University
on cardiac mechanics and the feedback mechanics has on cardiac
electrophysiology.
