This program also included the dedidation of Simula's 8th floor lecture hall to the late Professor Hans Petter Langtangen (HPL Lecture Hall), and the awarding of the Researcher of the Decade to Prof. Olav Lysne, inrecognition of his fundamental contributions to the development of Simula.

Following the official program, guests mingled through out Simula's new offices spaces, meeting with researchers and hearing about Simula's current activites. The celebration ended with a formal dinner in the HPL lecture hall.
