Research interests and background
My main research interest is the measurement of software development skill in particular and human capabilities for software development in general. This involves the use of automated test technologies, measurement models and some psychometric theory as well. Furthermore, I am interested in the use of theories and confirmatory (quantitative) methods. My supervisors are Dag Sjøberg, Erik Arisholm and Tore Dybå.
Together with both students and professional software developers, we are currently building an software framework that can facilitate semi-automatic evaluation of software development tasks. One of our goals is to provide a calibrated assessment instrument of programming skill to the software industry and the research community.
I have a varied background with experience from multi-user 3D applications, usability testing, and management.
