I am a master student at the University of Oslo, Department of Informatics, and Simula School of Research and Innovation. Being a part of the Department of Computational Geoscience here at Simula gives me the wonderful opportunity to work closely to excellent research scientists. I get good guidance from my supervisor, Professor Xing Cai, on the work of my master thesis.
The main focus of my thesis is "Use of GPU for sediment transport simulations" with help of low-level CUDA programming and other technologies for parallelization. In this work I look at numerical simulations of transport of sedimentary particles.
