With background in mathematics and geothermal reservoir engineering, the natural path for me was computational science applied to geoscience.
I am currently pursuing a master degree in computational at the University of Oslo at the Department of mathematics and Simula School of Research and Innovation. My affiliation is with the computational geoscience group, where professor Xing Cai and Tor Gillberg supervise me through my master project.
Simula research laboratory gives me a unique opportunity to be among and learn from first grad scientists, and be a part of a friendly group.
Master project
Using GPUs for interactive simulation of large folded geological structures
Research interests
- Simulation of geological and geophysical processes
- GPU programming
- Numerical solutions of partial differential equations
- Shock wave theory in hydrothermal systems
